Q: How do I register for the programs?

A: For the Community Tennis Club Programs click on the registration form button (see Lessons, Camps and Leagues). Follow the instructions provided on this form (registration for these programs is done through the mail). To register for the City of Mississauga Recreation & Parks Programs you must register directly through the City. There are many registration options for City programs. You may go to their registration information page online (using our link on the Recreation & Parks page) or you may use the Mississauga Spring & Summer Recreation and Parks Guide or call 905-615-4100.

Q: What is the rain policy?

A:If it is raining a class will be cancelled. If it has rained earlier but conditions have cleared up and courts have dried up sufficiently, to the discretion of the instructor, than the class will run. If a class is cancelled due to rain an extra class will be added on at the end of the session. This does not apply to 1 week long programs such as the 1\2 day Junior Camps or Training weeks as there are no possible make-up dates. 1 week long programs are based on a 4 day fee allowing the possibility of a rainout day. If there are no rain days, all 5 days run.

Q: What are class sizes?

A: Recreation and Parks classes have a maximum class size of 12 participants. Quite often though classes run with less than the maximum. The semi-private classes have a maximum of 4 participants. The Community Tennis Club programs have a 4 to 8 maximum participants per instructor.

Q: What should I bring to class?

A:You need to bring a tennis racquet. If you are just starting out, any old racquet will do for the first class. During that first class, ask your instructor for advice on racquets and what would best suit your needs. Tennis balls are supplied by the instructor. You may also want to bring water, a hat, sun block, and a jacket as temperatures can change quickly, particularly during evening classes. For the half-day morning summer camps, juniors may also want to bring a snack and an umbrella in case of rain which will give them shelter while walking home or waiting for a ride. It is not necessary for parents to stay during classes or camps but they are always welcome to if they wish.

Q: How do I join the community tennis clubs?

A: If you go to the Inside & Out Spring & Summer guide you will find a list of all the community tennis clubs in Mississauga and the contact person. Membership fees are very reasonable. TENNIS EVERYONE is affiliated with 6 of the community clubs and recommends membership to any or all of them. Every club is unique and offers different programs and social opportunities for adults as well as juniors. It is best to contact each club individually to see which one offers what you are looking for.

Q: Who can I call if I need further help?

A: We hope you've found the information you need in our webpages - we strive to be as thorough as possible. However, if you still need to speak to someone, please call Tennis Everyone at (905) 608-9391.
